Managing your social media accounts can be a little overwhelming, from knowing when to post to trying to create engaging visual content. To help, I have compiled some useful applications below to take some of the pressure off.

Canva

Canva is a great application that allows you to create engaging visual content. They have plenty of templates, images and icons to choose from when creating Instagram stories, Facebook posts, promotional visuals, etc. You can also create pamphlets, posters, presentations, banners, and business cards, just to name a few. It has a free version that is pretty good all on its own, however, you can upgrade to Canva Pro for $14 per month (you can try Canva Pro free for 30 days). The nifty thing about upgrading to Canva Pro is that it allows you to create a brand kit. This kit allows you to put together a collection of your brand colours, logo, and fonts to keep all your content looking consistent.

You can access Canva on your phone (android and IOS) and on your laptop.

Planoly

Planoly allows you to plan and schedule your social media content for Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter. No more wondering when your last post was or feeling the stress of posting every day. You can also create social media content within Planoly using their pretty templates.

Pricing – view the plans here

Planoly has a free version that you can sign up for to see whether or not it's for you (you can use the free plan for as long as you like). The next plan up is $7, then $15 and the most you can spend is $23 a month. Each paid plan has a free 7-day trial so you can figure out if it suits you.

You can use access Planoly on your laptop and phone (Android and Apple).

Story Slicer

If you want to use video content, then this phone app might be just what you need. Story Slicer allows you to take long videos and cut them into segments to post on your social media platforms. The finished video will have seamless transitions, no watermarks and you won’t get bothered with ads while you’re editing your video.

You can download it from the app store (currently only available for IOS)

Check out their Facebook Page here.

Zoho Social

Zoho Social is a helpful tool for managing all of your social media accounts. You can create posts, schedule content, and reply to any messages sent to you from your social media platforms. Zoho Social will also analyse your social media accounts to highlight the best times to post and the most engaging types of content for your audience.

Canva can also be linked to your Zoho Social account.

There is a free 15-day trial to start with (no credit card required) and then it is $15.59 a month (billed annually) for the standard plan. The most you can spend is $66.91 a month for the premium plan which, as you would imagine, unlocks everything however, you might not need everything.

Zoho Social is available on your phone (android and IOS) and your laptop.
